1. Who we are
These terms govern consultancy services provided by JJB Calibrated Ltd (“we”, “us”), of South Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Contact: connect@jjbcalibrated.com.
2. Scope of work
Every engagement is scoped individually and confirmed in writing before work begins. All engagements are scoped and capped up front. We work on fixed fees, with no ambiguous hourly escalations or unbudgeted surprises.
Work outside the agreed scope is not included. Where additional work is requested, it will be quoted and agreed separately before it is carried out.
3. Fees and payment
Smaller, fixed-scope jobs are settled upfront before work begins. Larger core projects require a mobilisation payment on signing, with the balance due on sign-off. Ongoing retainers are invoiced monthly in advance.
Urgent strategy sessions or ad-hoc advisory outside agreed milestones are available at our standard day rate, on request.
4. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, timely access to the people and materials an engagement requires, and prompt feedback at agreed review points. Delays in providing these may affect timelines and, where they cause additional work, cost.
5. Nature of our advice
Nutritional guidance provided by JJB Calibrated Ltd is delivered on the basis of an RSPH Level 4 accreditation in Nutritional Science, Performance Nutrition & Dietary Analysis. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not replace care from a doctor or registered dietitian. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, consult a qualified medical professional before acting on any nutritional guidance.
Product formulation, flavour and compliance guidance is advisory. Final responsibility for regulatory approval, product safety testing, labelling and market compliance rests with the client as the product owner.
6. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other’s commercially sensitive information confidential and use it only for the purposes of the engagement. This survives the end of the engagement.
7. Intellectual property
On full payment, ownership of deliverables created specifically for you passes to you. We retain ownership of our own pre-existing methods, frameworks, templates and know-how, and may reuse them.
8. Cancellation
Either party may end an engagement in writing. Fees for work completed and costs already committed up to that point remain payable. Mobilisation payments are non-refundable once work has begun.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue or anticipated savings.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
These terms are a working draft prepared as part of the website build. They are not legal advice and must be reviewed and approved by JJB Calibrated Ltd, with professional legal input, before the site goes live.
